CHINESE HERBAL USE IN THE PREVENTION OF TYPE I DIABETES MELLITUS

Angie Pierce, DAOM, Diplomate OM, L.AC has been practicing internal arts for over 25 years, including Tai Qi and Qi Gong. She has enjoyed being an acupuncturist and herbalist for 12 years and works in a Chinese pharmacy where she has been an integral part of the team for 9 years.

Teaching the first year of the Chinese Herbal Program at Colorado Chinese Medicine University is one of her many occupational contributions. She assists with supervising student clinic a few times a month and helps with the herbal assessment team to ensure students are understanding the breadth of that field. She has her own practice where she says her specialty is people and is also currently working on her DAOM degree.
